Why an ebook?
An ebook saves paper, eliminates post-consumer waste (the paper you would throw away when you were finished), avoids the use of chemicals and inks and the costs and polluting aspects of the printing process. It also allows for a lower per-item cost because the more costly aspects of production are eliminated, and it enables the writer to receive the profits that would otherwise be realized by a corporation (i.e., a publisher).
