The Aura as Our Connection with Divine Intelligence – Part 1
The aura is our connection with the Divine – with Infinite Intelligence and All That Is. Most people are familiar with the concept of auras – that some people can see them, and that holes can exist in the aura if a person has had trauma in their life, and that problems in a person’s aura can cause physical illness – and it all can seem very exotic when compared with the day-to-day physical reality that we are usually focused on. Yet our auras are right here with us, right around us, all the time, even when we’re not aware of them.

The aura is essentially a hologram of who you are. It includes your physical body, but it’s more than that. There are a number of layers, or bodies, to the aura, and each of them represents a part of our experience and existence. For instance, the emotional layer of the aura holds emotional experiences, and can connect us emotionally with others; the mental layer includes thoughts, intellectual knowledge, and self-perceptions of identity and reality (as well as cultural thought forms and thought forms from those around us); the etheric layer is believed to carry the primal pattern of the individual’s existence and link our consciousness with other levels of reality. So the aura really contains all of who we are, in every sense. But it extends out beyond our physical bodies anywhere from a few inches to several feet at any given time. So it has more dimension than our physical bodies. It’s part of what connects us to others, and to All That Is. And it is what we use to sense, psychically and intuitively. Essentially, the aura is our radar – it’s what we use to connect with and check out the world around us.

If you’re even a little psychic, you can usually tell on meeting a good friend if he or she is going through a difficult time, or has been sick, or is angry, or joyful. You’re sensing that through your aura, which feeds the information back into your consciousness. If you’ve ever had an instant dislike for someone you’ve met, or quickly started to enjoy a new friend’s presence, your aura is probably picking up data from their aura, and processing it below your conscious awareness.

So the aura connects us to others and to the rest of the world, and it contains the whole of who we are, even the part of us – our spirit, if you will – that continues to exist after we depart the physical plane. So it is also part of what connects us to the Divine, to Infinite Intelligence.
